I used critical thinking by thinking about what time I was going to meet up with my mentor. At first it wasn't so easy because I had other things in my life that I had to complete also, so i kind of set things to the side. My communication wasn't used that much in the beginning of my project because im kind of a shy person. I didn't collaborate with him because i am not experienced to do so. Also i didn't want to collaborate because i didn't want to be judged also the fact that i don't like people saying stuff about me.
Throughout my capstone project I learned the 4 main objectives, the order for the routine my mentor uses with his customers. He showed me the catalogs he shows the customers. It just asks personal questions and that way my mentor knows who to match the customer up with. I learned to become more social with people. For example, I got a chance to interview a few people around the gym, just simply asked them questions about the gym and their fitness goals.
I also learned that I DO NOT want to pursue this career because it doesn't fit in with me. I'm interested more in mechanical engineering and i am planning to attend Skyline College for 2 years. After those 2 years i will transfer to a CSU called Northridge University in Los Angeles. Although, I did enjoy working with my mentor because I learned something new in life.
The biggest challenge I faced in my capstone project was procrastination. I overcame this problem simply by doing the work when I got it assigned. I did not put it to the side like i used to do with my other homework. My other problem was time management. I overcame this by setting a calendar and adding the events I was going to do on the specific date.

Capstone Project Presentation
Today May 13, 2013 I presented my capstone project to the class. Although in the end I wasn't so satisfied with my grade I am not giving up there. I received a 64 out of 100. You see my goal is to graduate on stage with my fellow classmates. I am not going to quit just because i got a low score. That grade basically is motivating to do much better and practice much harder to achieve a higher score. I have a role model in my life to keep myself moving forward. If it means breaking every single sweat in my body then I will do it. I will make the corrections that Mr. Migdail told me to make and I will do much better on the real presentation.
Mentor Hours Almost Complete!!!!!!! (5 hours)
I shadowed my mentor for 5 hours today 5/13/13. I need 6 hours left and i will be close to being done with my hours. The last 6 hours will be completed tomorrow and once again the evaluation is due Wednesday May 15, 2013.
Mentor Hours (6 hours)
Today 5/12/13 I did 6 hours with my mentor. The reason why I am blogging so late is because I had work and so I didn't have time to blog until I got out. I met up with my mentor around 8 o'clock in the morning and finished at 2 p.m. The things me and him did today were just going over what he showed me before like the interview and the catalogs so I can have it fresh in my head. We also went over the 4 main objectives and the order for the routine. Had a lot of fun today. I have 11 hours more to go. Hopefully i will finish before Wednesday since the evaluation is due that day.

"Fiscal Cliff Response"
The Democratic positions towards the "Fiscal Cliff" is saying that they wanted to continue the long term unemployment for the end of the year. The Democrats had set the tax level lower than the Republicans, $450,000 for the couples and $360,000 for the single households. They are saying that Republicans will raise taxes when the white house has approved about the "debt ceiling".
The Republican positions towards the "Fiscal Cliff" is explaining that they will not cooperate with letting the government borrow money unless they spend cuts so that it helps attack the debt problem in our society. The Republicans are willing to raise taxes on wealthier households and they decided to push the taxable income to $550,000 for couples and $450,000 for single households. By giving on Bush cuts about $250,000 income, the Republicans think that they will be able to gain the "debt ceiling".
In my research towards the "Fiscal Cliff" i used special techniques that helped me find what i was searching for. According to what i put on the search bar is what usually comes up. But if you want to find exact details about your topic then you will need to be more specific on what you type, in order to accomplish your research. The most helpful websites were the ones that were recently posted up in January. The ones that were posted in December or November were helpful but didn't mention that much information.
